Student Minister: Michael Blakeney

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Mike accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was nine-years-old at his home church of First Baptist Church, Lafayette.  Under the spiritual guidance of the Youth Pastor at FBC - Lafayette, Mike felt called to full-time ministry when he was 16-years-old.  Since that time, he has pursued opportunities to explore the area in which he feels the Lord would have him serve. Mike’s ministry objective is to build relationships that lead to life change through connecting with God, which results in going to reach others for Christ.

 

Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with minors in Mathematics and Physics, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His service at Grandview Baptist Church began in November 2007.
